Here’s the thing though, there’s some rapid dogs who will tuck their tail between their legs and then there’s the type you reference. I’m the type of daw…guy whos going to attack you.

What do you mean? How? Ring has a setup with local law enforcement where they can access the device? I’d be interested to know how that works.

There was an issue in my neighborhood where the police asked me if my ring records the street, I’m assuming they wanted the footage if it did, but they can legally go an take that?

8 camera systems are cheap if you don't need the latest greatest version.  You can store a picture per second from each cam online way cheaper than storing high resolution video.

Ok not free but who has a need for security and then does it half assed?

In addition to not making things tempting or inviting, motion activated high noon floodlights will dissuade most thieves imo.

A buddy of mine just put dummy cameras around. I'd use them more in addition to real.

Breakbeam sensors are cheap for small distances like across a driveway.
