Kaz is simply unreal in those videos.  his shoulders and back are among the best in history.  Plus his was very cut for someone weighing well over 300 pounds.  Unreal thickness.  The referee is my friend and winner of the Weightlifter of the Century Tommy Kono.  Coleman has nothing on Kaz for just immense size and strength.  And Kaz didn't have to watch what he ate.  Hs menu was EVERYTHING

He obviously did his share of low rep training for his powerlifting competitions, but he was also known for having tremendous muscular endurance. Of course one would need such stamina for WSM events.

I recall seeing him on tv do standing (much harder than seated) overhead presses with 120lb dumbells for 15 reps. This was back in the early nineties when he was wrestling in the old WCW and was actually past his prime.

I believe that Onlyme said he competed in a 405lb bench competition with Kaz - I think he said Kaz won with something like 30 reps, but I don't recall the exact number.

I've also read of Kaz doing up to 50 reps on pressing movements with very heavy weights, and curling 315 for 15 reps. I don't know if the curling feat is true, but if there has ever been anyone who could do this, I'd put my money on Kaz.

Greed is good!

i still have his three training pamphlets from back in the 80's and Kaz did a bodybuilding like program offseason where he would do 12-15 rep sets on benches, squats, deads and all the assistance movements with little rest between sets i think he said he would routinely do 15 reps with 5 plates on the flat bench.

Did'nt he have a few broken ribs or something like that when he benched the WR at the time of 661 in just a little more than a t-shirt not like what they use nowadays.
