Steele nails it
« on: July 20, 2023, 09:44:43 AM »
Never more truer than some of the suckers supporters on this board.

As another said as well : "Let’s say he really doesn’t even know what a subpoena is.  He’s lived in a bubble all his life, or something.
What would make anyone think he’s qualified and knowledgeable enough to hold the highest office in the land????   Subpoena. That should have been one of his words in the cognitive test he took. "    :D

Former RNC Chair Torches Donald Trump's Latest Claim With 1 Blunt Word

Michael Steele, a former chair of the Republican National Committee, on Wednesday mocked former President Donald Trump’s latest claim about his legal woes as “laughable.”

Trump, following his announcement that he expects to be indicted in the special counsel investigation into the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection, attempted to paint himself as the victim when he told supporters he ”didn’t know practically what a subpoena was” until he was swept into the probe, one of several he is facing.

Steele didn’t buy it.

“How many times has this dude been sued?” Steele asked of Trump.

“He doesn’t know what a subpoena is? ‘I practically don’t know what a subpoena is,’” the one-time GOP leader continued, rolling his eyes.

Steele called it the “deflection lie.”

“You are a New York real estate tycoon, as you like to tell us, a billionaire. You mean to tell me, in all the times you’ve been running your companies, you’ve never received a subpoena? I think that’s pretty well-documented at this point,” he added.

Trump “wants to get out in front, he wants to continue to play the victim, to that audience that eats it whole, completely digesting it, with all the pits and rind included,” said Steele.

“It doesn’t matter to them. They take it all in. If Donald Trump gets up and tells them that, ‘I didn’t know, there was a moon that circled the earth,’ they’d believe it.”

Here's the problem...

Anyone on Trump's side (republicans/conservatives) will say it is a partisan effort to attack him on BS charges by influencing government agencies, the DOJ, state courts, etc.

And vise versa.

I don't think there is any real evidence brought to light so far that can prove and convict Trump for starting the January 6th capitol riot.

But seeing the other changes against him, it really is tough to deny there wasn't enough evidence to levy charges.  Unless you subscribe to my first assertion.  If anything actually happens remains to be seen.

Biden's involvement in shakedowns, 20 LLCs Hunter, etc.  Is still in the stage where enough evidence has to be presented to warrant an investigation.  The burden of proof is on the accuser as is with Trump's accusers

Biden $10M bribe file released: Burisma chief said he was ‘coerced’ to pay Joe, Hunter in bombshell allegations
The New York Post ^ | 07/20/2023 | Steven Nelson

A bombshell FBI informant file containing a $10 million bribery allegation against President Biden and his son was released Thursday by Sen. Chuck Grassley, showing that a Ukrainian oligarch claimed he was “coerced” into making the payoff.

The owner of Ukrainian gas company Burisma Holdings, Mykola Zlochevsky, told the FBI informant in 2016 during a meeting at a coffee shop in Vienna, Austria, that “it cost 5 [million] to pay one Biden, and 5 [million] to another Biden,” according to the redacted FD-1023 form.

“Zlochevsky made some comment that although Hunter Biden ‘was stupid, and his (Zlochevsky’s) dog was smarter,’ Zlochevsky needed to keep Hunter Biden (on Burisma’s board) ‘so everything will be okay,'” the document says.

According to the report, the source then inquired whether Hunter Biden or Joe Biden told Zlochevsky he should “retain” the younger Biden; Zlochevsky replied, “They both did.”
In an addendum to the report from June 2020, the source told investigators that Zlochevsky claimed to have 17 recordings of conversations with the Bidens — two of which involved Joe.
The source added that Zlochevsky was convinced the recordings and other evidence show he was “somehow coerced into paying the Bidens to ensure Ukraine Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin was fired.”

Yes, Trumpy did own himself.  With his own stupidity.  This is almost as stupid as the "I declassified them with my mind" excuse.
