Why do bodybuilders try to over complicated things?
Hmm, things like
* Boredom with the standard lifts
* Frustration at stalls in gains
* Attempts to work around injuries
* Natural human curiosity and over-thinking often brought on by point (a) boredom, or very occasionally (b) new research suggesting possibly a better way to hit the muscle optimally (it rarely does)
* Financial gain via a fools good magic pill point of differentiation for the many marks out there
Anecdotally I've noticed most tend to circle back to the basics after said journey into over-complicating land, like iron prodigal sons
