Yeah, lol. Talk about a weird show.

Sometimes I'll watch an episode based on the YouTube title, and it will be 30 minutes or more before they even address the supposed topic at hand.

I won't fault Dave - the man can hustle - but for all the content he puts out, I think that "Whack Pack" stuff is just a way for him to churn out more content to fill time. I think it takes from the overall quality of his work, which is otherwise pretty good.

It seems like when he networked a lot at Muscular Development, and built RX Muscle fast thanks in part that.

The RX YouTube channel is also a vault of great videos with many people in the industry. I was looking up Shelby Starnes after his recent controversy, and Dave has several videos with him. The old "Iron Asylum" videos where he would do an interview with a bodybuilder as commentary for that bodybuilder's training video featured was a good format. Stuff like that was good quality. The Whack Pack stuff is just a content quantity over quality thing, and to me, the worst stuff Dave puts out.

There were a few reasons why I stopped doing YouTube:

One reasom is because YouTube was making it impossible to NOT get flagged. Even for music and video footage that I had paid to use the copyright of, or even took myself. Check out this video to show just how bad things can be:

Another reason is because I hate the idea of working for ANYONE.

I just want to live off the interest of my savings. I hate to feel like I have to answer to anyone. So that was the issue.

My loving ex-girlfriend ❤️ is here right now, so I can't type my usual long post or she will get annoyed, but the BIGGEST reason I left YouTube was because when I stopped going to expos [2014], my kids had turned five and four, and frankly...I just couldn't stand to be away from them. Even for five day trips to bodybuilding shows.

So I put that chapter behind me. And by 2016, YouTube REALLY ramped up the censorship...as this current fiasco with Palumbo proves.

I do miss it though - and I definitely give some thought to getting back into it.

It's a bit more than that.  He claims to have gotten into med school and passed all the classes.  He dropped out in his residency.   

He’d be going by Dr Dave Palumbo if he graduated from medical school.  Zero chance .. he probably flunked organic chemistry in undergrad and dropped out, and just plays up the “premed” aspect to make himself seem knowledgeable

For someone who works and lives off YouTube, Dave is pretty clueless. Didn't know GOOG owned it, etc.
He doesnt know much history of the iron-game either (ADD). Anything pre-90's, he flubs up, or just doesn't know...

Got into medical school and finished all the classes in his first two years.  Hated the rotations at hospitals in his third year and dropped out to body build full time.

Most of the younger guys he has now are snooze-fests, that once they get out of simple internet reporting are very bland. He needs to fine another Bostin or similar.

Aha, so he was doing his rotations, not his residency.  Still unusual that he’d drop out so close to graduating…gotta think there was something else going on
