I think the Bulgarian Burst routine was the first one I did. I was like 14. It was ridiculous, it was mostly baloney. What I do remember was writing down in my journal "bench press: 45lbs x 5." I was motivated though, I got up early before school and had a workout, then another one after school if I remember correctly. Then I got into Mentzer and Yates and it was a much more realistic routine.
There is sone documentary about the Bulgarians and I noticed the dejected and depressed look on all those guys faces. Supposedly, due to the beginnings of testing, they crammed a whole cycles worth of steroids into just a couple of days, like 1500mg of dbol a day. Don't quote me on that but it was a lot. I bought those Bulgarian early creatines too. It was a vial of of liquid and there was some powder in the cap which you pressed so the powder dropped into the liquid. Creatine Phosphate.
