Here are some facts. The facts come from the FBI's own homicide stats. They lump so called assault weapons in with rifles concerning homicides. Knives kill way more than all types of rifles put together. Over six times as much. Blunt objects like bats, batons and hammers are used to kill more than assault rifles.  Unarmed men kill using physical means like punching  kill more than assault carbines.

I make no apology for legally carrying for 40 years and I continue to do it. When carrying I will walk away from confrontation and never stand my ground. I'm not killing someone if I can deescalate a situation and walk/ run away.  The only way I will stand my ground is if there is a lethal threat to me or someone else. Then I will light up the threat.

I believe they stopped releasing the homicide stats a few years ago. Maybe because it doesn't back up the liberal's arguments that people are getting killed in huge numbers from AK and AR platforms.

They stopped with the stats because they considered it racist (gun homicides)... Black folks were leading the way there in record numbers.
