True, bodybuilder who trained hard even when he was going to compete.  Trained hard for many decades. He said he even trained hard when he was a drunk. True bodybuilder.

Mr. Draper was one of the good guys, he trained hard and in life he over came his demons. He along with his wife Laree gave back far more than they got from the weight lifting community. In the late 70's and early 80's I had the privilege to talk to Leo Stern many times when he had his store, shop and gym, it was interesting one time, he looked straight at me and said, "you should meet Dave Draper". I never did, but as with most of us when we started training we somehow identify with someone and he was the one I did.

Luckily got to spend some time with Dave & Laree at a banquet/dinner back in 2007 I believe (over the course of 2 days).
