I know this is old but they got like over a dozen missiles through into some base, if I'm not mistaken. The video is available, one after the other. I think they didn't even try to do real damage, mostly to show what they were capable of. The Iron Dome doesn't stop supersonic ballistic missiles, nothing does, from what the experts say. When Israel retaliated their planes got locked on from Tehran when they were 100km from Iranian airspace, which apparently was a surprise, so they didn't enter, but Israel claims they destroyed all their missile defenses, who knows what the whole truth is.
Be interesting to see how the situation develops now. Sure, if there is an all out bombing campaign Iran loses but others may lose as well, say if they unleash all the claimed 5K missiles in desperation. Analysts say there may be a risk of preemptive strike now and US troops are vulnerable. Further, they say, Trump's demands may be so maximalist they simply can't agree to them. Trump says they are having, and will be having, direct talks in the coming days. Iran says the talks will be indirect, immediately repudiated Trump's statement. You never could trust what Trump says, everyone agrees you can never take his word for it, even his biggest supporters.
