It makes me sad we've reached this point.

It's my Black fiancée, you see. She's really been busting my balls about our upcoming wedding. She's insisting we get married in Jerusalem because she's Jewish and it was chosen by God himself as a special area for her. I, however, being a science-geek, I really want us to get married at sea so that we can observe distant ships and calculate the curvature of the Earth after we say our vows.

Mental health is a bigger crisis than drugs. In fact, drug/alcohol addiction is usually a byproduct of someone trying to self-medicate to cope with whatever issues that they have going on. I know in my battle over the years with alcohol addiction, I was always searching for that few hours of oblivion at the bottom of a bottle.  People have to learn to get out of their comfort zones, and be willing to open up to someone.

You also can't genuinely love someone else the way they deserve to be loved, if you don't love yourself.
