I have a new theory:

Hankins WAS studied by NASA.  NASA paid Brian's dad to replace Brian's original brain with that of one of the monkeys they sent into space.  Everything makes sense with this theory.  I plan to publish it in the prestigious Getbig Journal Of Science.  What a goddamn ape:
