I think trump likely has an issue with his pre-frontal cortex- which can be trauma, adhd etc.. its essentially the part of the brain that controls impulses, basic instinctual repression, executive functioning etc. If he was abused emotionally his limbic system would be mostly in control and his world would be a simplified binary. In lacanian terms the poor guy is stuck in the imaginary and has yet to enter into the triadic system of the symbolic.
