he looked good in get carter as well

mickey was a great actor i loved angel heart

Get Carter was the movie that saved him (that he is talking about).

Sly saw him sittin and mopin at a diner and went up to him and offered him that role., when Mickey was down and out financially.

"You feel like workin Mickey?" :D

I remember that, saying Jon Favreau doesn't have balls. Which may be true but why broadcast your opinion to the whole world.

A typical Biting the hand that feeds you/Burning bridges speech of honesty of peace

Just like Charlie Sheen did with his Jew Speech about Chuck Lorre looool

He did, but during his best earning years, he did odd things like giving $1.5-2 million dollars to the IRA, which killed his box office in England for many years. Another big one was trying to buy and hold a mega mansion in Beverly Hills (He loves living like old Hollywood), which at one point had him taking any role to keep afloat. Harley Davidson and The Marlboro Man is a famous one from this time, he hates that film, but it bought him a little more time in that house.

He also turned down the role of Butch in Pulp Fiction a year or so later.

Now, he supposedly doesn't get paid much for Hollywood work, but does it at a lower price to bump up his pay on those B and direct to video films. For instance, he only reportedly got paid $400,000 for IronMan 2, and was only offered $250,000. He's also a loose cannnon on the films, for instance, he shitted on IronMan a bit after it came out.

Still, you shouldn't judge or ride around on a high horse.
That's bad.

Imagine if he managed to keep his looks from around Angel Heart / Johnny Handsome, maybe even Harley Davidson and the Malboro man, but his 80s-look for sure.

Too much drugs and plastic surgery

Brendan Fraser fell apart quite quickly but has made a comeback of sorts with the right project. I didn't enjoy that Whale thing from what I saw but I get why it worked for him.

Rourkes problem is that his face needs a role where he's basically Barfly but even more desperate. Possibly without the apartment or even a change of clothes. It's far too gone to even be some alcoholic, now.

He kinda looks like Jason Statham now - time for some Fast & Furious roles I guess.
Guessing from photos he posted he's renting a very small place and the Russian model visits him every few months to take some photos with him... it's all an act. Same with the people driving him through "Hollywood" only to drop him off where he angstily anticipates somebody from TMZ asking him how his day was.

Soon he'll log on to getbig...

Bullet from 1996 is one of his better later films. Just a good grimy b film. Rourke also wrote it, and it was Adrien Brody's first film.
