Is there a breakdown by degree type? I wonder if you filtered by hard sciences versus sociology, art history, gender studies, etc, if the breakdown of 'liberal vs conservative' would be different. I think it would. I'd venture to guess that conservatives have higher education in engineering, math, biological sciences, and that liberals have higher education in sociology and art history and gender studies. I could be wrong. I haven't looked at that data.

it would probably make sense that liberals have more arts degrees- however, there appears to be no good data on STEM vs arts etc. but arts is where political degrees are made so it would make sense that if there are more liberals than they would obtain more arts and that while doing those degrees become more liberal.

It appears scientists hold more liberal views. I could see engineers and math having more conservative views but I am just guessing here but when things are more important than people (engineering vs doctors for example) its probably right leaning just based on ideological views.

There is nothing wrong with a political science degree, an english degree, psychology or other arts. Gender studies is wtf.
