The only downside is that on the iPhone, if you minimize a YouTube video in Brave, playback stops. The official YouTube app lets you keep watching in a mini window while browsing or checking emails. Still, that’s a small price to pay for an ad-free experience.

I can now minimize YouTube videos playing on my iPhone via the Brave browser. I think it works when you maximize the video and then minimize it. So I can use other apps on the phone while the video is playing. I have seen zero ads since using it.

I get a popup that says, “Support the free press. Allow ads or subscribe.” — and you can’t even close it. On Brave, though, the page just loads — no popups, 

I sometimes use a VPN, and when I do, Google Search often makes me complete a puzzle. Bing works, but I don’t like how its search results are laid out or organized. Brave Search, on the other hand, works flawlessly with a VPN, and I actually prefer its results — they’re closer to Google’s.

I don't read the LA Times or any main stream media sites.
