I believe he invested his money that he earned during his 3 years with the WBF/Titan Sports (now known as World Wrestling Entertainment) into this clinic and some other things.

Shawn Ray, Troy's training partner, claims that the reason he turned down the WBF is because he was only offered $225K per year vs. the Zuke's getting $275K a year. And this was despite Ray placing 3rd at the 1990 Mr. O vs. Zuke's not having competed at all prior to the first WBF show.
