Yes, I think Ronnie is the best. Jay slaughtered him in 2001, Kev should have won in 2002 and I feel it was too close to call in 05, but overall Ronnie is king.

erm ... NO .

ronnie looked f'uckin disgustin in 2004  .. he may have been 'ripped' in your opinion .. meanin low bf .. but he certainly wasnt dry or hard. he was f'uckin oozin all over the place with a massively distended belly.

dorian took the mass game to the max while maintainin shockin dryness and density. ronnie proves you can only outsize dorian by comin onstage like a distended bag of water.

This post should be archived. It was one of the most profound, genius things I've ever read. I'll never forget this:

"Ronnie proves you can ony outsize Dorian by coming onstage like a distended bag of water."

So true. Ronnie loses too much in quality when he competes over 250 lbs. He loses his greatest strenghs: his phenomenal muscle separation and taper. You can't go against Dorian when it comes to mass and density while still maintaining symmetrical balance. You just can't.

or do you honestly think there are better bodybuilders out there (in your opinion please)

Ok , I've given Ronnie a hard time on he truce thread, but the reality is that he's one of the best bodybuilders ever. His physique at the 98 and 99 Os was astounding! :o I never saw so much details on a 250 lbs bodybuilder, witth such a tiny waist. Just awesome. It's hard for me to criticize Ronnie, because he's one of my top five bodybuilders ever.

I just think, that he Dorian Yates from the 93 and 95 Os, had so much dense muscle and echiness, on such a superb structure, that I still have o give the nod to him over Ronnie. But yeah, the 98 O Ronnie would take out the 97 O Dorian - at least to me -, even though the 97 O Dorian defeats the 98 O Ronnie on ALL andatory poses. I would still give the victory to Ronnie, despite this, because his muscle separation and taper were just so fantastic. But if it is the 2003 or 300 Os Ronnie against the 97 O Dorian, then I give it to Dorian. The lesser of two evils. :o :-\

Hmmm...not really. I you read my post carefully, you'd see that I still prefer the 93 O Dorian over any version of Ronnie. But yeah, ronnie did look fantastic in 98 and 99. We have in common the fact that we both consider Ronnie a superb bodybuilder - or at least some versions of him; the difference is that only one of us gives Dorian his props. ;)

It's very hard to give Yates props:

1/ Was never that good and took BB in some negative directions.

2/ He was obnoxiously arrogant, which didn't help. Actually believed he was better than guys who deserved at times to humble him.

Overall, those two things don't make him appealing, needless to say.
