Im always reading about him in the older mags. Lots of interesting articles and he was the fast rising, young star. Anyone know what happened to him after he fought Lukemia?

The movie is about an out of shape loser named Zorillo who has a meltdown.

"The story of a bodybuilder who longs to be respected for his mind. Mike Zorillo, a small town Ohio champion bodybuilder with a genius IQ, journeys to the Mecca of bodybuilding, Los Angeles, determined to beat his nemesis, Jake Steel, with natural science instead of steroids. Far from home, he's confronted by a gym culture of freaks, juicers and Hollywood wannabes. As he pursues his dream, he's also persecuted by the world's largest sports nutrition company, an entity that's hell-bent on destroying him. Against all odds, the honest and driven bodybuilder resolves to win the prestigious "Mr. West Coast" competition as a way to prove himself and his ideas to the world."

With a synopsis that includes the phrase "...to beat his nemesis, Jake Steel...", it's no wonder why this was an Official Selection of the 2004 Sao Paolo International Film Festival.  :-X

Seriously, it's worth the time to visit that link and watch the trailer. The story and production values are on par with what two teenagers might throw together to post on Youtube.

Decent guy & bodybuilder.

He was taking acting lessons way back in the mid 90's.

If his acting is any good, should've played the role as Superman 2006 what with the resembalence & his build, unlike the guy who plays him now!

You do realize that starring in Superman Returns is big-budget gay-for-pay.

But whatever pays the dialysis bills, I guess.

Holy cow, click the link below.  It is for the trailer for the movie.  Dennis plays the villain Jake Steel....classic.  ;D  It does not have the production of two high school kids...nonsense, give the kids some credit for their hard work.  Instead, it looks like a preview for a bad porn flick.

My favorite moment is when the hero looks searchingly at himself in a mirror and cries, "You're my nemesis!"

Agree on that bro.

BTW, Dennis Newmans acting skills seemed not-too-shabby. The rest of the cast were shittier than the quasi in-between-scenes-stuff seen in some German 80's porno.

Problem for Newman is that he's not looking like he did back then. He lost his great midsection, if it is due to heavy slin usage or whatever I cannot say.

But Newman needs to come down in weight. Perhaps 20 lbs to look good as a bodybuilder again, he really have potential for the old skool I-One ( ;D) physique.

To do well in movies, he needs to drop perhaps 60 lbs.

Stoopid Mofo fcuked up his symmetry. I would guess he did it by using too much and too long. Would be interesting to get input from "Teh Getbig Experts" on the subject. 8)
