Shaklee "Physique"
« on: June 14, 2006, 01:33:08 PM »
My boss is a distributor of Shaklee products and he just won't shut up about it.  He says their ingredients are all natural and are way better than any of the major supplement companies.  He says most of the mainstream ones fill your body full of toxins because of the crap that's in them.  He recently took second place in a natural show and he swears by this Shaklee "physique" stuff.  It's a post-workout drink.  I was wondering if anybody out there has used or does use this stuff and can back all of this up.  I've tried it for a short while.  It was expensive and tasted good, but personally I'm gonna rely on creatine, glutamine, and BCAA's.  Any thoughts?

Look at the ingredients and make your decision.

INGREDIENTS
Bio-Build® (dextrose, maltodextrin, milk protein isolate,
whey protein isolate),† natural flavors, soy lecithin,
magnesium oxide, colored with turmeric
powder, ascorbic acid, xanthan gum,
niacinamide, selenium yeast,
calcium pantothenate, d-alpha
tocopheryl acetate,
molybdenum yeast,
vitamin B12,
zinc oxide

Looks to me like a pretty expensive sugar source with some protein thrown in.  A good post w/o profile, but expensive nontheless,
