IS/was Joe WEIDER a Steroid Guru?

How can you be a steroid guru if you never touched the stuff in your life? Joe Weider was a money guru. He saw an opportunity to make money off the sport. He never was a real competitive bodybuilder. Plus he is 85 fucking years old. They didn't do roids when he was supposedly competing.

I thought he was behind the 1990 Controled Substance Act that made aas illegal or scheduled them in a higher class...that is right around the time he was losing $$ on his HUGE supplement line that no one gave a shiz about UNTIL that act passed...why would people buy horse sheit product when the real thing is at the back door of golds--circa 1980s(also the public was more appeased by BB'ing with movies like "Rambo" "Preditor" "Terminator" etc.---BBing was much more mainstream and not frowned upon i.e."juicers" or "cheating"---Mr Olympia on ESPN and such)

A well known doctor that supplied guys was Dr. W------My friend was Arnolds doctor before Arnold went to him.  He is the guy that actor David H ended up ratting out or testifying about in a steroid trial years ago.
