I saw that whole segment a little while ago and thought that it was great. It gave a little balance to the steroid bashing that was constantly going on in the media at the time. The key words in that segment were " responsible use ", you can abuse just about anything. I read in MD a while ago and I am not sure if it's true, that in the 60's and 70's bodybuilders used steroids only pre-contest, to prevent them from losing muscle mass while dieting. The article said that in the off-season they trained naturally. Was wondering if anyone else heard of this.
