Rice
« on: August 15, 2006, 04:10:52 AM »

Vic Richards claims to eat mountains of rice. I eat mostly red rice(which is supposed to be healthy). Would too much rice be detrimental if you're trying to cut weight - it is carb based.

Advice/Thoughts?

Not all carbs are created equal.

Different nutritional value, fibrous content et al.

Regarding rice, the brown rice which is totally unprocessed is IMO what to look for.

Look for boiling times at around 40-45 minutes.

Some people believe that an extremely high protein diet would help you lose more fat.

This usually happens to be people who don't do their homework on what carbs to eat.

And these people usually don't mind eating jasmine or red rice over brown rice.
