Hes going to get a hammering if Sam comes with his A game. I used to watch him when he was EBU champ and think he was unbeatable, i couldnt see how he could be beaten. I think he has more than enough to take care of Holyfield, and than maybe a rematch with Maskaev is on the cards. Holyfield INSISTS he has got what it takes to be undisputed champion regardless of his age, i think that the pursuit of this "goal" he has could result in him being crippled.

Great for Evander...  It's interesting to see all these guys, reporters, fans that never laced up gloves and broadcasters casting doubt on Evander yet NOT ONE OF HIS OPPONENTS WOULD DO THE SAME.  Think about that, these no body's will doubt Evander but the guys in the ring with him like Samil will be ready 100% and training their asses off and are not even gonna take Evander lightly for a second.  If the guys that actually do this stuff for a living don't take Evander lightly how can the guys flipping channels on their couch do so...don't make too much sense.

because any boxer would be stupid to take any fight lightly..period

look at tyson/buster douglas..perfect example. tyson took the fight too lightly and lost. but this dose not mean that douglas was a better fighter than tyson...or even a good fighter

Blinky, Buster Douglas was a very good fighter and on that day displayed amazing skills in the ring...any boxing trainer or fighter would say the same thing.

i guess thats where we differ. i look at the fight and see a guy(douglas) who appeared good because tyson was not on that day. and i look at how douglas did after that fight.

to me he was not a great boxer

Mike was way off that night and I also realize that helped Buster tremendously.  As a matter of fact it would have been a different ending in the 6th or 7th I believe when Mike knocked down Douglas.  today the ref would have to pick up the count from the second buster hit the mat.  Also the refs count was about 2 or 3 seconds slow and Buster was out.  I still believe Buster was great that night.  Great combonations, very good conditioning, foot work, speed, etc.

Douglas was out for well over 10 seconds at one point, but credit to him he did what was unthinkable. Much like when Lennox Lewis lost his 2 fights - especially the Rahman fight.

As for the "nobodys" on here, we speak the very same words as alot of the experts. Holyfield couldnt beat his shadow for the last 3-4 years and he finally beat a shit salesman. Does that make him good enough to be world champion? Does it fuck. Hes putting himself in danger, there was a reason he had his licence revoked. He shouldnt have gotten it back, and i for 1 HOPE he gets his arse handed to him in a hospital bed. Hes a fucking idiot who is in denial, he'll never crack top 10 again and certainly wont come close to being champion
