Tough guy, John Cena will leap from the wrestling ring to the big screen in The Marine! Move over Dwayne (the Rock) Johnson.

Notice that WWE is now in the film making business. Rather than have their athletes leave the fold to go make movies, they decided to get into film production where, like Disney, they have a full stable of characters and personalities they can draw on. $mart diversification. Marvel comix is doing the same thing.

I also kind of find that term offensive too. If I thought he was putting on airs it would be a huge turn off.

Sure, wrestling is known for "keeping it real".

The squareness of his chin is rather impressive though. I can kinda understand how a 13 year old would think he's cool, but why any adult would listen/look at him is beyond me.

I think most people would rather look at Cena than any pro or amateur bodybuilder you can name.

Even if i did your point would probably still be valid, but what "most people" prefer isn't always a sign of good taste. His "alpha-male persona" is not really interesting and kinda dumb imo. Empty barrels make the most noise.

{LOL} He didn't come to my attention through wrestling. I saw him on Jimmy Kimmel.
Infact, I've never seen the guy in the ring. After I saw him on the talk show promoting an upcoming televised match, I tuned in to see him, ...but somehow ended up missing it. I was pissed I had to sit through all that crap and still missed it.

It wasn't his antics in the ring that made me think he was hot, ...it was his personality, sense of humour, comfort level in his own skin, ...and when he took his shirt off and gave it to the women in the audience. Oooh baby!
