Stretching techniques
« on: October 02, 2006, 06:57:41 AM »
Hi everyone,

I have been kickboxing  for years...however I took a lengthy break and have lost a lot of my flexibility and cannot hit those same high kicks. I gradually got more flexible over my last fighting period but this time I need to regain my flexibility quickly. Obviously it should come back a lot quicker than a person just beginning, but are there any techniques that you guys know of that achieve good results quickly.

Cheers

sit with a chair under each heel while watching t.v. start off slow and work your way up to 30 minutes to an hour. will have you throwing roundhouses high in no time.... might sound retarded but this is what my sensai used to make me do.. really does work should look like your trying to do the splits...

Look online for Pavel Tsatsouline's stretching book.  It's excellent.

Not that I'm recommending you do this, but if you have Limewire or some P2P, you can probably download it.  His resistance info is also top notch for MMA training...
