Jay's back has made serious improvement over the last couple of seasons.  He made a tremendous improvement last year in his upper middle back, and this year his condition was probably the best of his life, considering the amount of muscle hanging off his bones.  You've got to give him props for that.  But look at what it took to beat Ronnie - not only did Jay bring the ultimate package, but Ronnie was fucked up.  Whatever his injury, it has seriously affected his physique and probably, to some degree, his ability to train.  His mission to come in at 300 pounds didn't help matters. Ronnie was not at his best in 06, Jay was, and he stayed there in Europe.  Case closed.  Jay's back is awesome, but it is not up there with the pics posted here.  You even have to give it up for Shawn for that amazing condition he brought in 93 - 94 - truly astonishing.  Some one should have posted a shot of Rich Gaspari too.  He started the shredded glute wars and his low back was rung in for the holidays.
I'm glad this thread was put up.  It definitely does put things into perspective.  That said, I'm still going with the Coleman backs of 98, 99, 03 and 04 as the best in history.

people on this site don't realize how awsome Gaspari was back in the day, he was great before he tore pretty much every muscle in his body...
