Is youtube giving the sport of bodybuilding a lot of publicity?
« on: October 20, 2006, 09:08:54 PM »
I'm curious because there seems to be hundreds of pro bodybuilding videos in that website. And they're pretty common to come across. Pro Bodybuilding's fan population is certainly growing because of youtube.

The only thing hurting the sport's image on youtube, I think (and I'm not trying to be anti-gay so don't complain please), that for every 1 pro bodybuilding related video there's 5 gay-4-pay muscle model videos. That's pretty embarassing for us.

LOL SERIOUSLY! That's because the Weider's know what really sells the sport. What an interesting topic! I really wonder what percent of this sport's fan population are people (either gender) with muscle fetishes. And if there's more guys than girls making up that category. Unfortunetely, I don't know a single girl who's physically attracted to the pro BB physique.

Some girls I know actually like the golden age look though! And I'm glad the girls still like my muscles!

Man worshiping has existed since the days of Noah but they where more carefull not to get exposed.

As for women you are correct. They are not used to seing men of powerfull physiques and are used to the skinny or overweight bums. Do your thing and don't worry about that. If a girl is turned off by the way you look it usually means that she is really shallow.

Actually this one time in class this girl who sat behind me made a comment to her friend about how disgustingly huge my back was. I was overflattered, to say the least!  ;D

Yeah, I think many girls are really turned on by muscles in that way (observed from personal experience  ;D).

Awesome! Arnold use to seek out those situations and take advantage of them. Instead of winking at the girl he would flex his muscle and await the reaction. :)

Satisfaction my friend. If he see a girl that is turned of by it he knows that he is doing something right and uses that as motivation at the gym to gross the girls our even more.

LOL I read in his book The Education of a Bodybuilder that he used to think of women as nothing but sex objects. Well now I know he thought of them as something more than that, but as judges for his "repulsiveness".

Also check out my new pic in the Pics section.

IT'S NOT A SPORT!

That's what Weider calls it. So how can we argue?

hmmm we must have different versions I don't recall that...

I found the passage!

"That was my attitude: macho. I was strong and I walked the streets feeling and acting tough. If someone made the slightest remark or gave me trouble I would hit them over the head. I was aggressive and rude. I'd go into a beer hall where we ate dinner after training and start a fight for no reason at all."

There's more and it's really interesting but I'm not rewriting the entire book in this post.
