Maybe one loser has a chronic back problem and cannot train consistently.  Maybe another loser's wife got sick and has to take a second job to feed his family.  Maybe yet another loser lost his job and had to put his membership on hold.  Maybe another's loser child died and he doesn't freakin feel like working out.  Maybe another loser filled that gaping hole in his soul that made him workout like a maniac, flex in the mirror all night and daily count every freakin millimeter he breaks on the measuring tape.

you registered on getbig on january 05 and you started working out 6 months later?   ???   ::)

Actually, I first registered while on my first attempt at a cutting diet. I started out pretty chunky. Not like Billyguns but I was getting there. That's when I learned all about diet and exercise. Mostly from books and online articles, but I learned a hell of a lot from here at Getbig. I remember posting on the training and diet forums almost everyday.

When I finally saw results after months of trial and error, I watched my physique as it bloomed from moldy shit into something beautiful. After months of impatient anticipation, I finally began my bodybuilding lifestyle; and something clicked. I became deeply in love with bodybuilding during the summer of 05'. :)

Two years ago I was 230 pounds 31%BF 44inch pant size.  6 months of cardio took me to 175 pounds...18 months of lifting has taken me to 195 pounds, 32 pant size 15.8%bf.
I've done all this naturally at 31 years of age on a vegetarian diet.   Can be done if you train and eat smart and stay dedicated, in my opinion.

Obviously nothing like my newbie gains, but i consider those absolutely rediculous. I went from 145 to 185 in about 5-6 months when i started working out at 16 or 17. After that i pretty much stopped and dropped to about 170 because of all the cardio from basketball, took a few years off, working out here and there but always hovered around the 175-180 mark.

I'm 22 now and have been working out fairly consistantly for the last 2 months and I'm about 200 now. I'd say about 10 of that is probably creatine water weight but whatever, my friends and family have all commented that I've gotten bigger (I'm still a fucking stick but again, whatever, at least I'm growing).

My diet is fucking garbage, i don't eat enough to grow properly, but I'm working on it. I find that I grow pretty easily and whenever i stop drinking and partying all the time it's pretty easy to put on the lbs but the hardest part has been avoiding the drinking and partying.

Anyways, hopefully I'll continue to grow and hit 210 before Christmas and 220 by next summer. I doubt i'll stay natural forever but untill I'm confident that my diet, sleep, and workouts (that's the easy part) are 110% in check I don't deserve the needle.

i've discovered that using gear can eliminate most hassles such as diet and discipline.  the goal is to look good, not challenge yourself. at least for me.

I don't feel that I am gaining at all lately.  :-\

I will end up remaining in or around 200-205 by the time I regain all the muscle I lost from my last set of finals.  I've pretty well accepted it though.  From there, the gains will be very slow, and I'm ok with that.

the kelly clarkson song in the background made it like a real posing routine :)

Thanks.  Got hooked on BB.  Never thought I would.  Trying to get to 200-205 with 10%bf and see how I feel.  Veggir or not, I enjoy the challege of going in every other day and pushing myself as hard as I can for90 minutes.  Get some nice hormones flooding, blow off some stress and make my head clearer for the day.  Congrats on your accomplishments also.  I have a lot of respect for people who can get fit and stay there...especially in this culture.

As per the topic though, I don't feel like Ive reached my potential.  I would like to add 4 inches to my chest, get my arms to a solid 18 cold (which isnt that far away anymore), maybe drop the waist to 30-31 inches with nice ab definition.  I played soccer for years growingup and found that my legs responded really fast to low rep training.  So much so that I had a hard time finding jeans that fit and had to take them out of the lineup to bring my upper body into proportion.
Finally found someone about the same strength as myself who wants to partner up.  Im really looking forward to this to help break through and really bring up my back and chest...lats in particular.  I havent scratched my limit in terms of weight lifted.  I can shrug 225 20-25 times for 3 sets.   Deadlifted 225 8-10 times for 3 sets (have to be careful with my back).  Singled 225 on chest (might have done more but never had training partner) I can do 5-6 curls 110pound bar for a few sets when I'm fresh.   This isn't a lot of weight for what I see going on this board (although some guy says he can do 100 reps at 225...f**k) but it shows that I have a lot of room to grow and should be able to pack on some quality muscle.  The men in my family tend to be big and broad shouldered but they never bb trained...so genetically its ALL NEW TERRITORY.

We'll keep people updated.
oh ya, Any suggestions about new training partners??  Other than not dropping the weight on their head?

Thanks

Impressive gains.  Imagine if you dialed in your diet and stopped getting wasted...there's an easy 15lbs.  I can't remember the last time I got drunk.  What an over glamorized thing drinking is.  The whole getting drunk thing got old about 10 years ago for me.  I don't see how people do it on a regular basis...to excess anyway, which is the way most people drink.

Thanks. One of the most important things i've realized in the last couple weeks is to at least not drink the same day i worked out. I give it at least 24 hours now. I also just had like the best back workout in a long time and feel pretty pumped about that. Just under 2 months untill 07, determined to hit 210 by then and then just maintain for a couple months before i try to pack on anymore (eating all the time is fucking hard, lol).

Edit: I'm not trying to sound like a big guy, I'm still a lanky mofo, but that will change  ;D ;D
