Everybody from that era knew that Arnold was a "figure de Proue" for bodybuilding and especially for the upcoming Weider "empire"... Check the first Arnold interview in part I when he says "It felt awkward being compared like livestocks and I hated that feeling" talking about callouts... this was Arnold's clash with what was by then "modern" "bodybuilding"....
Nothing against Arnold but that shows how the "king" was out of his element by 1980 and how far he had "moved on". He still won and bodybuilding wouldn't be same if he had not. And Mentzers would be alive
