Ok, this is how I see it. Oliva obviously had a superior structure than Arnold's, but Arnold's structure was slightly bigger. Adding up, Arnold prevailed over Oliva because he had a serious advantage in muscularity, and Oliva's strenghs over Arnold couldn't tip the scales in his favor, because Arnold was still pretty awesome at them, too. For instance, Oliva had a better taper in most front shots than Arnold, but Arnold's taper was still fucking awesome. Oliva's back was more separated than Arnold's and attached lower, but Arnold compensated for this by having greater width&thickess. Oliva's delts were more proportionally developed than Arnold's, but Schwarzenegger had big front delts, giving him and edge in the most muscular. Arnold had an advantage in size, and that tipped the scales in his favor. Regardless, I give major props to Arnold for having faced a bodybuider that seemed like he was genetically engineered for bodybuilding perfection, and managed to defeat him. The true testament to Arnold's greatness was not that he defeated lesser foes with ease, but that he managed to defeat the single bodybuilder in history possesed of genetics to defeat him. Now
that is Arnold's claim to immortality.
