So Chavez hasn't been unlawfully confining protesters or assassinating political dissidents.

Seems to me to real standard for good in this world. ::)

Those people that support Rosales walked and it is not a class issue.
It would seem to me that since Chavez is PRESIDENT his the most elite figure in the country.
But then again I don't have to pretend that his friends aren't placed in positions of power.
Chavez role model for the World. ::)

AP Poll: About 59 percent of likely voters said they would vote for Chavez for a third term, while 27 percent said they would support opposition candidate Manuel Rosales.

Zogby International and the University of Miami School of communication, Chavez has the support of 60 percent of voters going into the December 3 election, compared to 31 percent for Manuel Rosales

61 percent of all respondents saying Venezuela is moving in the right direction and 31 percent saying it's on the wrong track.

You want to talk about assasinations..... oh no you just didn't go there.... During the coup, they went into the streets and attempted to quash any opposition by just gunning the mother fuckers down.  Wanna talk about assasinations, ok, let's talk about cia santioned killings in south america and in Venezuala.  Let's talk about the school of the Americas designed to go in and slaughter hole villiages for even thinking about a union.  let's talk about that, i'm ready with stats, are you?

Post them,
Make them relevant to the discussion of Venezuela though.

I am no fan of the CIA.
By the way which coup are you talking about the one that Chavez led, or the one in 2002.

Also are you going to combine the totals from both sides and say that Chavez didn't fire on unarmed protesters.

I dare you to use media sources like newspapers and MSM to form your opinion.

Watch the documentary on the revolution... and really there is a strong tie in with assassinations all through central and south America since their purposes have all nearly been one in the same.  But just watch the doc.  Also some of the guys in custody are responsible for the coup... Just put this into perspective... what if Dems had attempted a coup against the president here and it was foiled... What legitimacy would you give the complaints that the president was quashing opposition by detaining prominent members of the opposition... their coup failed, that's the price, they bought it, they own it.
