Just like most family functions, good food and some tears with a side order of yelling... At least this time I did not snatch anybody up by the nexk and explain the error they just made.

Amen to that.  Had my nose broken three times in my life.  Three things I have learned.

1.  Nobody fights fair. 

2.  Nobody fights alone.

3.  Polynesian heads are harder than the human hand. 

One of the advantages of being an adult is fights rarely if ever come up. It's such a stupid and pointless way to solve a conflict. It almost seems moronic to try and resolve something using violence when talking accomplishes the same thing.

The problem is anger is destructive and anger pushed to the limit is violence. I agree it's stupid and pointless but when you enter the rage zone there is very little reason. If you have anger without emotion you drift into appathy which can be destructive just less physical. If physical altercations worked we would already be out of Iraq.

When I was in college my buddies and I enjoyed getting into it with other patrons every now and then. When was working in the club industry the bouncers used to work for me so those brawls where always fun. Now I see how immature that was.

But that all stops when you fight and serious injuries happen. I was stabbed when I was in highschool in south Boston in a fight. Not to mention the numerous serious injuries friends of mine have suffered from fighting over the years.No fun to watch your friends cheek bone get shattered

Dont get me wrong, if I have to fight I will fight in a second. Just not worth it most of the time tho.

Shit, that must have been painful. The last brawl I was in left me with a fractured ankle, and one of my buddies with half his face hanging lower then the other. This was years ago in college. My buddy had some of the bones in his face shattered.I fractured my ankle kicking some guy in the face after he literally smashed my buddies face in. Heard he got 37 stitches above his eye. There are always those fights you get into where the people are just as tough as you(or tougher) and it is a bad ,bad fight.

When I was stabbed it was right above the hip. 17 stitches. Luckily I got the upperhand and won the fight. Really woke me up to what some people will do if they are not thinking.

I'm a little over 5'9 190lbs and when I was around 155lb I fought a kid who was 6ft4 230lbs. I got the living shit beat out of me. It didn't really hurt at the time but I was a mess. I just remember what felt like boiled hams hitting me in the face for 5 mins. LOL, I kept yelling to my friends "alright dudes! Jump in! Come on!" they just watched :*(

It's debatable. I would probably go a different route. Most likely I'd try and choke him out or get him on the ground and kick him in the head till he passed out, toe to toe though I can't make up the difference. He's still a huge dude, even heavier now.

You lift weights. If he is just "huge" without lifing, you are probably stronger than him. You would also be quicker.

Plenty.  Never started one though.  Always helping someone else who is getting into a fight.  Also, my best friend way back was big like me and was an ALL CIF wrestler at 198.  It seemed like whenever any of our friends got in fights and beat up they would call us and ask us to go kick their asses.  Had a funtimke once as a bouncer.  Some off duty cops were acting like assholes grabbing girls and then telling them they are cops.  SO a few girls came up tous to tell us what they were doing.  We watched them and witnessed it and told them they had to leave.  I think there was 4 or 5 of them and four of us.  Well they decided to act bad and everything and we got to escort them out our style.  I remember when they were out front one ofthem said something like Hey assholes we'll see you when you get off.  SO I said something like well you better have your guns.  Then he said Oh we will.  Well it got us watching all around when we got off work.  I was looking in my mirror the whole way home. Never saw the guys in there again.  I was watching the show Cops and saw the one asshole on there.  they were Lennox Sheriffs.

here's a funny story.  my buddy had a party, there were about 6-8 of us there along with a bunch of girls, maybe 5 or 6 and my buddies sister with her boyfriend who was a black guy named kenny, he was pretty cool but about 10 years older than us.  At about 9 o'clock this guy shows up that we really didn't like but nobody wanted any trouble so we let him and the guy he came with stay.  A couple of other friends of mine showed up about an hour later.  I went upstairs with my GF and about 1/2 hour later I hear a frucas downstairs.  I guess the guy we didn't like-his name was adam decided it was a good idea to call the black guy a n****.  Adam was wearing sweats so Kenny walked up to him and pulled his sweats down, adam's first reaction was to reach down and pull them up well once he reached down Kenny started beating the hell out of him.  The fight moves out outside into the street.  I came down about 5 minutes later to see what was going on and 5 of my buddies are pounding this guy, one of the guys I knew that wasn't involved says "you've gotta stop this" and I said what happened, how'd this get so bad.  I guess kenny was beating the hell out of adam and one of my friends  went and broke it up and once he had them seperated adam sucker punched the guy who broke up the fight so now adam's fighting 2 guys instead of getting beat up by one.  This happened 4 other times, this guy adam was too dumb to give up he was getting killed, I mean beaten to a pulp so after a few minutes I get everyone off of him stand him up and say Adam go home he looks at me and busts me in the jaw..so now he's got 6 guys beating the hell out of him.  finally it ends, he is dragged away by his buddy.  at about 3 in the morning we're all winding down sitting around talking and BOOM the front door gets kicked open and about 15 of adams friends come rushing in...total brawl, it was like something out of the WWF, I ended up with cracked ribs and my hand was destroyed from beating on this one guy...

this stuff went back and forth between us and adams friends for about a year and a half.

 it's funny cause he didn't knwo when to quit, people were trying to help the guy out but he just wouldn't take it.  he ended up with a broken arm, a concussion and a bunch of other problems, it looked like Rodney King when I came downstairs, it was terrible.  He showed up about a year later at a party I was at, I had one guy with me and he had about 20, he was telling me how I beat him up and he was gonna pay me back.  I sat down and said Adam listen this is what happened and told him the story, I said I only hit you after you busted me in the mouth.....he looked at me totally dejected and said "well...I don't really remember" and let me go.  I woulda took a beating in the worse way if I didn't talk my way out of that one.

A few months back I went to watch "snakes on a plane" with my fiance and about 6 other friends. we are all sitting there and this guy and his girl come in and the are talking during the movie(which is one of m biggest pet peeves) A friend of mine tells them to shut the fuck up and this guy wants to be a tough guy and talk shit. I told him not to. I told him to sit down and shut up a couple of times. He finally pisses me off enough for me and the friend to walk around to him and ask him to shut up ane last time. My exact words to him were dont say another word if you know whats good for you. This smartass fucker says "word" so I punch him as hard as I could in the face before he gets up. I stay on him get about 5-6 more punches in then I want it to be over he tries to get up and I get him in a guillotine choke I had on steel toed boots and start kicking him in the side while he is choking. Finally a couple of people pull me off of him and he says something else so I invited him outside for round two he didnt come possibly the smartest thing  he did all night. The best part was his gf was yelling the whole time we wont talk anymore I'm sorry

About 2 months ago we went to a rob zombie concert it was outside and raining so we were moshing and a guy didnt want to get mud on him. A friend of mine jumped up and splashed mud on him. He took a swing a him and me and I got him in a rear naked choke a security guard grabbed me by the head and twisted my neck so I let him go but it was really funny
