It is definitely true. My strength tends to stagnate during the summer, and go up during the winter and spring.

you are probably more active with outdoor activities and probably eating somewhat lighter, which would mean you probably have less fat and less strength.

during the winter you probably eat heavier food and are less active thus stronger.

I would say it does affect it to some degree, but only slightly. Why are most of the WSM competitors from Scandinavia and other cold countries? You don't see many from the Middle East or Africa.

Maybe they've got other things on their minds in Africa anyway, like clean drinking water, growing food, and reducing corruption and civil war?  ;D

It is kind of hard to buy Goat whey protein when your whole family is starving.

Stupid!? Good reasoning. How old are you? Perhaps, the reasons are more to do with funding, national sports interests (soccer) availability of equipment, etc. rather than some kind of thermal determinism. In any case, the Middle East is chock-a-block with serious Olympic weight lifting talent. Try googling, oh say, Rezazedah, for example.

i think so there is a difference between olympia weightlifters and strongman....iranian weightlifters are by nature known for their strength..rezazedah is a freak..he is the greatest weightlifter of all time..
