Melvin placed top 5 at the Olympia and after that said he was waiting to compete until the O. Would have been sic to have him in the lineup with dex, Phil and Victor.

True. he could win it. But he made some insane strides with Nicholls last year. If he takes one whole year of nothing but O prep, he could be right up top. Of course we know they'll plant Jay/Ronnie either 1-2 or 2-1, jsut for the history books.... everyone else is battling for 3rd.

Some people say you can look at the sponsor list and see who's signed with who, and get a good idea of who will place where. Crazy people, I tells ya.

Everyone? That would be 21 competitors. The worst thing you can have and I would love to hear Chick or another pros opinion is TOO deep of a lineup. Every year at the O we have these guys fall through the cracks and get overlooked tremendously. Johnnie Jackson in 05, Ronnie Rockel should have made Top 15 last year, you guys probably know a ton more oversights. Mainly because the Olympia gets too deep with talent that qualify. Troy Alves was eighth a few years back and look at him now.

No cormier, I was hoping he would've had time to recover from his injury and make a run at the arnold...too bad. Shawn was also speculating in the lastest MuscleMag that Ronnie might do the arnold, guess that is out as well.

I think they're choosing to skip the Arnold. There's good reason this show is second only to the Olympia....awesome line-up!!
some would say it passed the Olympia a while ago.

Does Mel have an endorsement contract? That O 5th place prize money wont carry him past christmas

Sergey is a dark horse here. Could even win it imo. But Victor Martinez is the clear favourite obviously.

No wonder the Arnold classics second only to the big O. It is a complete Mr O line up with only a few names missing. The myth of the Phil will be tried and tested there. I pray he would prove himself worthy. I personally think this would be another opportunity for Dexter to seek revenge over Victor for his placing in the O. All said, am placing my card on victor to win the next Arnold..

Does Mel have an endorsement contract? That O 5th place prize money wont carry him past christmas I'm sure VYOtech left him something nice in the stocking. While Phil has the undefeated record and is the next Mr O, Melvin should knock off jay and/or ronnie this year. IMO, they won't let that happen, so they can have a nice storybook finale between ronnie and jay. But damn, if he puts on 10 more pounds, with that thin waist, he's gonna be unstoppable.

That was the first time we've seen Melvin nail his conditioning in years. We finally saw what his legs looked like without one of the Great Lakes hovering over them. He was still behind Victor and Dexter. Vic is the man who can destroy them all IF he nails his conditioning, but it's still an IF with him.
At least we have something to discuss besides two morons claiming to kick each other's asses.

Dunno why everyone's placing Branch so highly. He gets worse with every show and the Olympia showed that he's now on a downward spiral. His body's shot to pieces with drugs and he won't last much longer IMO.
Martinez to win, followed by Dexter and Heath.

Melvin's arms shocked me more than anything else. Plus the fact he could play bumpercars all afternoon then still sneak in for a top 5 placing.
