Here's what I don't understand.

But that's nothing compared to what's up with FLEX.

You see Scribbler, if FLEX knows how much Jay is getting, as is apparent from the article about Jay's contract, then they should reveal it.

Why? Because it's magazine. They're journalists. Journalists dig up stuff like that and writes about it.

FLEX has an obligation to its readers first and foremost. Not to Muscletech or to Jay Cutler. I think you know this.

The editorial content shouldn't be dictated by what the advertisers wishes for. Where is the publishing code of FLEX? Gone with the wind, by the looks of it. Have been for a very long time.


Yet another example why MD is a better magazine than FLEX.

I might believe that for his toal income, including O winnings, Supplement contract, Magazine contract, appearances, videos, etc, but NO WAY somebody pays that kind of cash for a bodybuilder on a single contract.  Just more IFBB bullshit trying to convince the gullible that these guys are real "pro athletes".

I believe Jay could parlay a million - his market value might not be a million in sales, but the nontangibles in a BSN grabbing Jay would add a lot of value to the equation.  Picture every expo, all year long, the BSN booth with arch-rivals Jay and Ronnie hamming it up. 

If I ran muscletech and I knew Jay was worth 650k in sales... but I also knew that I would lose X% of market share if the Jay/Ronnie show was all over ads, I would pay jay extra just to preserve that mkt share.

(Who had Ronnie before BSN?  He is worth more now as a beaten Mr O on the warpath for a rematch than anohter Mr O who is handed a sandow every year).

MT should have called Jay the moment they heard BSN was sniffing around Jay, and just blown him away with a sweet record offer.  (Also, I am not amused by flexonline: "The contract is huge but we can't say how much!".)
