I agree with everything you said except for the Freeman vs. Heath....You guys have to be realistic Freeman looks great, but he doesn't have that many years left in bodybuilding and Freeman has noticeable tear...Freeman will do great for another 4-5 years tops there are to many young guys coming up that are going to redefine aesthetics & conditioning...Heath is that guy, but he has to put on a little more mass before he gets compared to Martinez...Because as of right now Heath would get lost in Martinez's lat spread shadow.....
Ugh...someone woke me up with some silly comments and let me address them. This magical pec tear has been repaired for years now - He won the nationals with it , Placed in the TOP ten with a Smaller Body - no judge has ever mentioned it - they only instructed the XMan to Fill out -ummmm That is accomplished. <7th place at the O - 1st attempt - <tie with Lee haney> Fill out is totally different then reconstructing a body to become wider - Did you hear me Realistic -WIDER. NOT NARROW. Phil is an exciting new bodybuilder and the thought he reminds people of the old Kevin, Shawn , Flex combination is awesome. However speaking about an injury that is not an issue compared to a structure flaw is a silly comment and please refrain such comments - You sound like the people who thought Ronnie was going to win the The O because they really really wanted him too. Stop leap frogging over ever person - David Henry <if he settles down > and Dexter Jackson - will give Phil an awesome challenge - however - Victor and Toney are a different animals, and just for you this is a Realistic Story ! |

Phil Heath does look great but there are several that are worlds ahead of him. Jay Cutler for one. I couldn't believe it took him THIS long to win the Olympia. Phil just doesn't have the complete physique that Jay has. I have been in training to judge, as well as being a National level competitor myself, so I'm looking at this through a professional eye, no preferences. It's very good to support your favorites, and they appreciate it. So keep on cheering for him, he does look great.

I appreciate your opinion,but the facts remain that Jay has the Best overall physique. Your boy is lacking in several areas. Jay has him, hands down. Now if you can point out to me where you feel you boy has Jay in any area, I'll be glad to take a look. Just remember I'm looking at this from a judges point of view and not from what a fan thinks. I will be objective. I'm not like 99% of the other assholes on here. I actually compete, judge shows, and have several close friends who are pros.

Phil has Jay on arms, legs, overall shape and conditioning. In the eyes of the judges Jay more than makes up for that with his size and width, but not mine. |

Come on man. That is not a fair statement. I understand you might not like his build and he has weaknesses, however, not like Kamali. I agree that his best has never beaten Ronnie's best, but, to lump him in with a guy that can't crack the top ten at the O isn't thought through in my opinion. |

First of all in the two pro shows phil has done he was by far and away the most conditioned athlete on the stage. As for muscularity, you aren't gonna find another bodybuilder with fuller muscle bellys. Jay Cutler himself admits phil is the future of bodybuilding and will be Mr O in the future. phil has good shape and seperation...but problem is hes too small...mr olympia in 2 years is impossible...he is only 220 pounds....need 4-5 years at least to get to solid 250 plus to be big enough to stand next to cutler
but then again...u have vic,dex,gus,toney,ron,cutler,melvin and they are not going to sit around waiting for heath to beat them..they will improve too...

Phil barely beat Dareem last year in both shows and i truly had Dareem atleast winning one of those shows...Now
Now Dareem is considered a small bodybuilder compared to Jay -ronnie ect...
Phil looked smaller then Dareem in the upper body by far imop
So i believe that Phil will be exposed when he goes up against some real big guys...
Yes he competed against DJ but DJ tried dropping some weight and came in lighter then usual and was off to boot...
Phil has a few more years to grow before he can really look large up their against the likes of Vic and Cutler

Good Morning Kiddies- you are putting alot of pressure on a young man. Phil is not Shawn Ray where no matter who is standing next too , he dominated. Shawn stood next too Kevin , Flex , Dorian , Labrada, Haney ! Phil is a Rookie and a very good one - but his sights are on a good career, That is exactly what he is doing. Conditioning - Victor , Freeman ,Anthony , Jackson , Henry< when on> are a tremoundous mountain for him too climb. I believe he is up too the task- Great support from the Magazines, the board, Hany , and Jay - however Victor , Freeman ,Anthony , Jackson are not Charles nor a warming up Dennis James. So slow down - wait until AFTER the ARNOLD to draw up the future of Bodybuilding.Phil is in a great class with the likes of Silva , The Japanese guy and a revamped Henry not too mention Dugdale. All have the potential to be the future ... |

Phil is like a combination of Flex Wheeler, Chris Cormier and Kevin Levrone. I agree, if Phil keeps improving, he would make a perfect Mr.O. Jay may be heavier, but Phil's lines and symmetry will dominate in my opinion. Toney Freeman vs Phil Heath in the Mr.O could be the future.

ummm where are "Xmans" abs in the first pic? Thank god bodybuilding is finally going back to shape and seperation. Getting away from the gh freaks with their massive melons and distended bellys. The move is toward pretty boy looking bodybuilders, such as phillip and victor.
I'm not saying phil is gonna win the O in the next few years, cause jay will be near impossible for him to beat, but he will win it for sure. Just remember how old he is and how many years he's been training. Not only the youngest pro, but I guarentee he's been training the least amount of time. I'm interested to see what he looks like after 5 years of training, half or a quarter of what most pros have.

All i could say ,is just wait and see. Richard jones was hyped up, so was chris cook and even Fedrov was hyped up by the media as the next big thing at one stage. Let's wait and see. Remember Dorian yates came from no where and took the olympia crown right under the nose of Shawn Ray, Levrone and Nasser and so did Ronnie no one expected him to win the olympia in 98, everyone thought it was Flex's, so Let's just wait and see...  |

Phil is better than Victor and Dexter right NOW! He will prove it at the Arnold, trust me and soak it in someone like him only comes around every ten years or so. Im lucky enough to know him and chat with him from time to time around here in Denver and yes he is also a class act!
