Hahaha - fans of the expo, the contest, and much much more. Come say hello tomorrow!
Today was a fun today. Isaac ‘Lift Studios’ was in town, and we wound up going in the morning to Venice, where we got some cool pics, and went to Max Muscle Venice to visit Mad Max! We also ate at the Firehouse, and had the famous ‘Bob Bowl’ Experience, and we videotaped it, so that you all can check it out. Oh yeah, stopped at Gold’s Venice too.
Went back to Pasadena, and met a lot of the competitors at the lobby of the Sheraton Hotel. This is the first IFBB pro show of the season, and it was nice to see everyone again, from photographers, industry expo people, competitors, and many others who come in for the show. It truly is a cool experience.
From there, went to the expo hall, which is in a huge permanent tent, and took a number of pictures of various people. The press conference / weigh in started late, but it gave us a look into some of the competitors who were willing to show us what they will bring to the prejudging. It should be a good contest tomorrow.
Everyone was real cool at the expo, even our debates with Romano, Chambers, and Palumbo. They argued in vain, and we tried to explain to them, but to no avail. You never know who you are going to meet or see at the expo, but we got lots of great pics.
Dinner was at J.J.’s Steakhouse, to celebrate Lonnie Teper’s birthday. We went with good friends, and with Russ of Bodybuilding.com telling great stories along with L.T.’s stories, we were laughing the entire night! Can’t wait for tomorrow… should be another great day.

HAHA - Yes the FitExpo is under way and The Roninator and I are getting lots of photos and videos. We were mobbed by the Muscle Mob and Ron caught it all on tape. Off to prejudging, it should be a solid top 5.

Ron and I are roaming the IRONMAN FitExpo getting a number of photos and interviews. We were mobbed by the MD Muscle Mob and confronted with our postings here on Getbig about their show. We had a verbal sparring and it was all in good fun. Ron videotaped the mobbing and then took the opportunity to get a photo with Kim Chambers. At the press conference we didn't get a chance to see much of from the competitors but one cat to keep an eye on is Silvio Samuel. No. I'm sititng here in this fkn FREEZER ice-box snow filled city known as Chicago right now. I will be in Columbus Ohio for the ASC in 2 weeks, nycbull. Part of my mission there is not only to execute missions and act as an agent for Father kiwiol and The Amlighty Squad...but to gather as much information and take as many pictures of possible of the one thing that makes me laugh MORE than anything els you see at a BB expo... The 'Trick Or Treaters'. You know...the ones dragging the 20 gallon EAS bags w/ the VPX bags and MuscleTech bags going booth to booth...booth to booth desperately reaching over someones shoulder to grab a sample packets of 'whey' or 'nitric oxcide' tablets from each booth. They usually run 3-4 deep. Usually sports backwards hats and have the colorful wristband on their wrist. They would 9 out of 10 times have a t-shirt on with a supplement company logo on it. They people tend to think it's just the coolest darn thing to get a picture taken w/ a Timea or a Monica and walk away telling their partner..."DOOD..I am NEVER washing this hand again...OMG, dude this hand...touched Monica Brants shoulder " I'll be taking a plethora of pictures of these types. I'll even be sure to take a few pics w/ DA, The King, Cormier, Priest and Ron Himself. |
