When dieting for Rocky III Sly only ate tuna.  He ate too much and contracted mercury poisoning.  He said that he knew he had gone too far with his diet for this movie when he completely lost his appetite.

Stallone may not have looked like the biggest guy, but at least he looks super athletic and healthy.

BTW, Sly is only 5'6, but 6' with his lifts...

Actually he also had two slices of burnt toast and lots of coffee to keep his energy up.
