Helpful Household Hints

CLEANING THE MICROWAVE

Put a Pyrex cup of water in there.  Microwave til boiling.  Let sit for 5 minutes.
Wipe clean.

Keep pens away from suede pants and couches...

In the event you forget, windex takes the stain right out.

"Spot Shot" (a spray found at the grocery store) is very good at taking red wine stains out of carpet and clothing.

I've also heard, pouring white on top of the red immediately helps too.  Anyway, it's a good excuse to open a bottle of white!  :D

Spot shot does really well with blood stains on the carpet.  My dog ripped off a nail of his and walked all over the carpet and the stuff took the stains out

OxyClean works really well too.  I mix about 1 teaspoon with 2 cups boiling water and put it in a squirt bottle.  Pour a little on the stain and lay paper towels over it with a heavy weight - I use a big money jar.  Poof! Stain gone.
