Well, you have to take into account the improvments that Toney made throughout the year...he was much improved at the Texas Pro and the Olympia.

Marcus looks dead on the money...
he might look "dead on" for himself, but in those shots he waaay out of Jeffers league, from the back Marcus is lacking seperation especially in the arm/delt areas, legs look good though! |

Yes, but if Lee Haney showed up in contest shape at the ironman and asked, they would "find" an invite for him. Once ya agree "yeah, but he's a Mr O", you admit there's a possibility and a judgment call. And once ya look at the demographics Rusty delivers, hey, why not?  |

Because you could make a case for a whole bunch of guys that would be deserving of an invite...many of them more deserving than Rusty (with all due respect)...
If he had gone in a few more shows last year and place well, or qualified for the Olympia, he may have made the cut...maybe next year.

LOL...there isn't a political motivation to place Rusty higher or lower...he'll place where he'll place based on his conditioning and how he compares to the other guys standing next to him. Don't expect him in the top 5......8,9,10 is more likely. |
