Who, in your opinion, is the best asian bodybuilder in the world (pro or not)?

I'll jump in:  over the last 10 years, perhaps Pham Van Mach or Ly Duc, both of Viet Nam.   They've certainly won the most.

Wong, a little advice. Your left lats aren't symmetrical with your right. You can tell by the pics. For next time, maybe you could work on improving that balance.

Apart from that, let me say... WOW! Looking great!

Pham Van Mach :
2001 IFBB world championships 60kgs winner
2004,2005,IFBB Asia championships 60kgs winner

Ly Duc:
During 1996-2004 ,he won 6 times of IFBB Asia middle-weights

Those pics taken last May in Viet-Nam ,when I visited my family in Ho-Chi-Minh city.
(Bodybuilders train very hard in that country even equipments are out of date)

Lovethe sport,

thanks for your constructive feedback. I will surely look into this matter and sort it out for my next show after the Australian Pro Wink
It gets down to the final week now and today is the first day of carb depletion.  Will be leaving on Wednesday ( 3 days earlier) to accimitize to the weather in Melb. Its about time to show off what i have after 12 weeks of hard work in preparation for this show.  Smiley Smiley Smiley
BTW, next week my web site www.wonghong.net will be updated with new nutrition tips, video clips, latest news, etc, etc. Do check it out. Cool

Beside Hide and I as IFBB pros , there are many other good amateur bodybuilders in Asia and are onn their way in earning their IFBB pro cards. As mentioned earlier by Musclecenter, for them to reached that level is considered a great achievement considering the fact that the gyms here are not well equipped, lack of the variety of supplements, scarce in food in some countries like Vietnam and even some parts of Thailand. Pahm Van Mach is an excellent bodybuilder, huge, wide and thick for a super-flyweight. He is a dynamite!!! Shocked

Musclecenter, AVBG,

thanks guys for your moral support and compliments. 5 more days and its SHOW TIME! Win or lose is secondary, the most important is that i have tried my best (in the last 12 weeks) and just hope for the best in Melb! Also one thing for sure is that i will definitely look better than my last show 3 years ago In Toronto  and that makes me very happy Wink

Benchthis,

You are right that i need more lower back thickness. I have not been able to do heavy full range deads for about a year now. I had 2 slipped discs occured  quite a while ago during training and every now and then i feel it on my lower back. The last couple of months have been pretty bad! I am going to have it treated by a specialist after Melb and will be back in full force training my lower back to present the ever famous "christmas tree" Cheesy

Wong hong,

Looking fantastic! If I could offer just one suggestion: in the front-latspread, you should lift your chest/ribcage a little more (while sucking in your abs). it'll make it seem more impressive.

I injured my lower back badly in the early 90's when doing hack squat without proper warm up. It taught a good lesson Sad
