It will be nice to see Hidetada Yamagishi and Silvio Samuel get a special invite for the Arnold, to replace Dennis James and Johnnie Jackson, who are not competing. They may not be in the top 8 there, but these two deserve to go, due to their much improved physiques over last year!

Rusty didn't get screwed....he placed exactly where he should have . Not 1 person in attendance that I talked to thought he should have been any higher.

Yamagishi got screwed...Silvio and Shelestov should have placed higher.

Really? Abbew's legs were pretty poor I thought. Stubbs had a great upper body but his legs were also way behind. What about Frank McGrath? I'd have put him 8-10. And I thought Haidar deserved 6th. Silvio was great most of the time but he did have a gut that he ocassionaly lost control of.

Bob, do you think judges are actually marking Marcus Haley up for his skull vascularity?

Abbew's legs ar not poor, he has brought them up significantly...his calves are poor, but since when do the judges look at those? Abbews upper body is just that damn big..

McGrath is up and down and was soft from the back...arms overwhem the rest of him and make his back apear even smaller by comparison

Haider COULD have been 6th...needed to be compared to see..he lost a little size for conditioning, and it cost him...very weak from the back, especialy lower.

Sure but these were YOUR picks.  Wink And, ok, his legs aren't poor, that's a bad choice of words. But they DO lag behind his upper body and I think that should rate him lower.

McGrath is up and down and was soft from the back...arms overwhem the rest of him and make his back apear even smaller by comparison

True. Good comments but I do still think he was better than the judges thought.

Def. agree on the lower back, although he did bring up his arms a tad. I think unfortunately, he may have peaked about 3 years ago and just isn't improving.

What about Silvio's gut?

Silvio needs to control it, as does marcus Haley..some of what goes into displaying a profesional physique is PRESENTING yourself as a professional at ALL times.

You never seen Labrada or Gaspari or Haney sucking wind or letting their stomachs hang out....

It's a lost art...practicing one's presentation, not just the actual mandatories.

I agree.

Chick - question for you: since you hang out/around many of the current pros, how much/often would you say they practice their posing routines? Do they at all?
