Fender Strat vs Gibson Les Paul

I dunno if this belongs on the entertainment forum, but it's certainly entertainment related.

ANYWAYS, what would be your preference? Or which guitar do you think is better in regards to the guitarists/artists that used them?

I'd take the Les Paul.. Why? Because it was Jimmy Page's primary and he was and still is my favorite.  ;D

both have their place. I prefer Fenders due to a larger scale.

Check out the Paisley strat '68 reissue I bought my daughter.. cool.

Fender Strat by a mile. They created rock. The Les Paul is a great guitar but it was designed as a jazz guitar. The strat has always been country/rock.

I know that 240 or bust will put "les paul or less tone" so I'm stealing that thunder.

I use an ibanez because Stevie played it when he was still cool. He uses JEM  i use the GSA.
