smelling salts
« on: March 30, 2007, 04:06:03 PM »
I've heard of powerlifters using smelling salts before big lifts, and I am thinking if I use them, I could increase some of my core lifts. It is just something I would like to experiment with. Does anyone know if they are legal? Also, has anyone used them before?

PLers like Amonia, clears head and make feel agressive /nasty.

If I got sinus blockage I'll use some psudoepinep (sp?) to make sure I can get air.
If you cant breathe well- cant lift well.

Yep, pseudoepfedrine is very good for opening airways. I also read in MD that when given to track and field athletes it boosted their performance quite a bit.

I find that hard to believe.

I have sinus issues to start with, that prolly has bearing. If you cant take in max air its hard to work to full capacity. The stuff  (PsEpenep) also seems to have an exaggerated effect on myself compared to the norm.
Ive breathed so much petro solvents (spray painter) that my sinus are super sensitive and will cement shut fast with exposure to many things.
