are you kidding me? Tre you should know that the mere existence of the US military keeps America free. I'm not saying fighting in Iraq is the sole reason for it. Every morning I wake up and put on the uniform..just like you used to...we defend the country and give 240 the right to voice his opinion here.

Not when you're in a 'combat zone', you don't.  

In fact, one of the common military scams involves commanding officers who will move their units into a designated combat zone for brief periods just to qualify for the IRS exemption for that month (not to mention the fact that hazard pay is awarded whether you spend 1 day or 30 days out of a month in the zone).

For the hundreth time, I'm not currently in Iraq...but I will be in Vegas for 2 weeks baby!!!

I think we earn that $400 in tax savings for a month...but to play your card, I have been on C-5s that have flown over hostile air space to get the same tax break.
