Something to remember, when you are from a nation that never fights a battle but instead opts for other countries to handle the worlds problems, well then, your opinion really doesn't mean much to us.

Just being honest, I don't really know any americans that actually give a wahoo what any canadian thinks of this war.   Basically, you guys just don't matter to us.  Stick to watching hockey, events like that.

Maybe we should pull our troops out of Afghanistan then?
maybe we shouldn't have gone in there to begin with. I know quite a few more of our guys would be alive.
For the first 4 years, something like 25% of our casualties came from American friendly fire.

Of course that meant that the Canadian snipers who took out the terrorists from over a mile away wouldn't have been there to save American ass, an event which prompted those whose lives they saved to nominate them for a medal, and to say "Thank God the Canadians were there"

How many foreign medals have American troops won in combat?

Damnit, you nearly have me ready to support withdrawing troops.

i study this stuff greatly, and I believe I am right on it.

We need to protect the region (our bases), the resources (oil), and our safety (borders).

One American life is NOT worth saving any number of theirs in a civil war.

okay.

IMO, the prez is right on energy resources that we gotta snatch up.  but wrong on the need to referee their civil war.

Cheney and rumsfeld were HUGE defense contractor guys.  That means, their own personal wealth has been, and will be, tied to how much $ we spend on war materials in iraq.  And the lives lost - not necessary.

are you ready to declare them the losers yet?

it's been over 4 years, and they can still regularly fire mortars into green zone - how pathetic is that?

Perhaps in 6, 8, 10, or 12 years, when things are STILL the same, you will change your position.

how are you supposed to stop them from firing mortars? They just carry it in a backpack, stop somewhere, and launch. They don't aim or anything...how do you stop that?
gotta love life

By not giving them a target.
