For the sake of argument, let's assume that any of the 22,000 undergraduates at VT had an equal chance of going postal like this.

How many of them have immediate family members who work for a company providing scary-sounding intelligence services to the government?  And who are managing the reconstruction of Iraq - where billions of dollars have mysteriously disappeared?

And how many of them are naturally proficient enough with handguns to successfully kill that many people without any kind of training?

Just wondering.
