Mexico's 2nd Biggest Industry
« on: May 02, 2007, 04:23:56 PM »
Behind oil, the "industry" that makes the most money is MONEY SENT BACK FROM THE USA TO MEXICO by illegal (and a few legal) immigrants. What a piece of shit country.

They come in illegally, don't pay taxes, send most of their money home, use up our resources, cost billions in health care, criminal justice, and school systems. And many of them are trying to vote too.  Fuckin leaches.
Valhalla awaits.

actually, one could argue they're a vital part of our economy.

Not only that, but it will be important to use them FURTHER to keep up growth with China.  if we can exploit mex labor and set up a "little china", we can compete with them in mnfg.

Bill Maher was right as usual...

If we had hired Mexicans to rebuild New Orleans after Katrina, they'd have done it in two weeks for $500.

Yeah too bad they don't tend to put anything back into our government, they just use the U.S. for a place to free load off of then have their kids here which makes them a citizen. You really think it would kill rich people to pay a little more to hire legal American workers to do their landscaping. It would only work if they were legal, paid taxes and spent there money in the U.S. rather then sending it back to Mexico.

USA needs to do everything possible to get Mexico up to par with Canada and USA economy and social standards.

It can only hurt USA to have third world country as a neighbor.

That's why I am a big believer in a North American Union of some sorts.

It worked wonders for the European democracy and economy, why wouldn't it work for Mexico?

Do you believe there are enough legal American workers to do the 10 to 12 million jobs currently being held by illegals?

A good question that we won't ever know the answer to unless we actually put it to the test.  At best, both sides of the issue can only speculate.  I'd like to put your question to the test, personally speaking.

This is a problem.. I mean if these fuckers are working under the tab and not paying taxes and at the same time taking away health care for poor legal americans..   >:(

I know this they help out economy, but laws should be enacted to punish these people and make sure they never get on any path to eventual citizenship..

I don't know all the numbers but we need to worry about our own unemployment before worrying about theirs.

We don't have 12 million unemployed legal Americans willing to do the jobs that would be vacant if we sent all 12 million illegals home.

We just don't.

If every illegal disappeared tomorrow, there would be a huge crisis in many fields.  As those voids were filled with legals, the prices would spike (since legals will need to be paid more and biz owners will pass that pain on to you).

Thank you......

US admits more LEGAL immigrants than any other country. These legal immigrants are sucessful and educated within one generation, as they're generally the best their respective homelands had to offer. Plus these guys pay taxes and what makes everyone think they wouldn't pick fruit if they're already working 12 hours in a dry cleaner or driving a cab for 12 hours a day?  ::)

As long as my gas doesn't go up then I'm cool.  Honestly, fast food industries and WalMart will survive, especially since all of them are made in China for cheap.  Maybe Walmart should open up manufacturing in Mexico and give these fuckers jobs so they stay there.

It is true, the illegals do jobs americans won't. Granted there are jobs that americans will do but most cases are the other way. Anyone ever been to Las Vegas. I haven't been since my honeymoon in '04 but are the mexicans still handing out the escort flyers? Think an American would do that? I know that is extreme but I also don't see white americans lining up to pick lettuce or broccoli.

This same argument was used for slavery. I don't buy it, and I don't like "exploit Mex Labor". This is not 1864, and people should not be exploited...

No, corporations are using the excuse that they can't operate without them. The same argument was used by southern big business in reference to slavery....one of the reasons why there was a Civil War. Slavey onwers wanted to keep free labor. Today big businesses want keep cheap labor, at the expense of tem breaking the laws and coming here.  Working in the court system as I have, I have been told by interpreters than most of these people are illiterate in their own language. The are being used, yet are getting free passes that American citizens don't get.

I just just like the smell of it, and one day...there will be a serious showdown on it.

I agree with you. I guess I misinterpreted your first post.

And it's not just big businesses, but small joints like resteraunts and sanitation..

The thing is that regular fresh immigrants work just as hard as illegals.. Come to NYC and you'll see indian and african cabbies driving 14 hours a day, 7 days a week and THEY'RE LEGAL. It seems as though they're contributions are being swept under the rug because people think illegals haul all the ass around here.

Low income people have huge difficulty getting medicare these days and in the past that was always not the case. Don't you think that has something to do with illegals?
