Looks like he's ruining his stomach/waist. I noticed the same thing. Here we actually have a monstrous bodybuilder with a small waist, and he seems to be doing everything in his power to ruin that aesthetic. WTF? Dennis, say it isn't so! Spe.ed

On the side shot it looks like he has a puffed up injection site on his upper leg. either that or a bug bite

yeah he's really soft. He actually is a bit soft. It is most evident from the lower lats down. If this sounds like nitpicking it's because it is. This is how the judges decide who is the better man.

How do you guys think he compares to Frank McGrath in this picture? They are both 5'11 and have huge arms and delts with a small waist.

they both look like what bodybuilding should be about to me, maybe i'm saying that because they are around the same height as me.

But seriously, in addition to height, they have tiny waists and all the muscles that people really care about. Their legs may be relatively weak, but those aren't muscles that people truly care about. Ask most people if they would rather look like Arnold or Tom Platz and see the responses you get.

I agree on Dennis' legs, although his calves need some work. I suppose both could stand to bring up their legs, but Frank is more behind than Dennis and not quite on his level yet. Frank has him beat on forearms, but not much else. I would even say that Frank's waist doesn't look much smaller. Maybe a little, but nothing drastic. In that particular picture I can't even tell, because Dennis has a better taper due to having a wider back.

Yeah the calves do detract from an otherwise perfect build.

The weird bumps all over the stomach detract from what "aesthetic" qualities he has.

I believe those are benign lipomas that many bodybuilders get. Check the after picture of Yates to see. Although I'm not sure if they are related to juice (ab)use in any way.
