Could the "paying dues" thing be that he didn't turn pro through the NPC, but instead doing it in Europe?
Is that the reason why most europeans/non US pros have to endure hardship in their first few pro outings?

I will only say this:

I was treated with utmost respect from everyone involved in the show. Big Steve was MORE than accommodating and he gave me and my wife Milamar VIP treatment from the very beginning - until the very end of the show.

Actually, even during my "IFBB hearing" Steve was BEYOND nice...and he invited me to attend his show... I asked him for a press pass (and I must mention that he gave me a press pass seat even LAST YEAR) and he told me - no problem...

He arranged two of the possibly best seats in the house for both prejudging and the finals - which I took advantage off to take great photos I am about to post on my website...

Also, I had access everywhere...back stage...pump-up room...Everywhere...(Milamar also). My athletes were also treated very nicely - and ALL plan to come back next year...off course...

Jim Manion and I also had very good and open discussion...and Jim knows very well that I have ONLY THE BEST INTEREST for the IFBB... I am fully cooperating and I actually believe that some very good things might happen in the IFBB in the very near future...

So, conspiracy theories etc...is only that...Bodybuilding is subjective sport and off course many times we would hear the "opinions"...and certainly some of you would want to believe that the athletes "working with me" would be punished...

Interestingly - none of them think that way...and certainly I don't think that way either... As far as contest results goes...I was hoping that my team would "clean the house" taking 1-2-3...and to tell you the truth if that did happen - I don't think many would complain...However, it didn't...and we move on... Next show is yet another chance...

Congratulations to Branch....I am happy for him. He is wonderful guy and he needed this victory to "get back" in the circle...

Also, congratulations to Desmond...Making the Olympia cut in his first outing is not an easy task to do...and not too many pros could say they qualified for the Olympia in their pro debut...

I must also mention Kai Greene whom I was impressed the most - as he was simply SPECTACULAR...and I wish he got what he certainly deserved - Olympia qualification....but even though he didn't - I am sure he made a lot of people aware of his limitless potential. His conditioning was the best in the show...his performance just extraordinary...
Judges did recognize him and awarded him with 6th place (top five in the evening show)...and I only hope he would manage to qualify for the O in the next few shows...

As far as DJ...yes he was very disappointed...He needed a victory here in States...and he was never closer than this time...Convincingly leading after the prejudging and still leading after the third round....just to loose the title at the end - is devastating...and I do feel for him.

Other Dennis (Wolf) is beyond happy with making the top three and establishing himself as the guy who CAN GO ALL THE WAY  and you all know what that means. He could have also taken the show very easily - and many experts would agree with it... What is the most important - he is NOTICED and I believe he will never be overlooked again (like he was last year...)

Last but not least - Silvio managed AGAIN to make the posedown (he "qualified" for the Olympia in each show he entered this year...which is beyond respectful especially considering that he became the IFBB pro a year ago...)
He also could have placed higher...but little distraction (of other kind) took the best out of him...yet he was still happy with his performance... Watch for him in the next few shows (yes, he is doing just about EVERY SHOW that is on the IFBB list...AS HE IS ALWAYS IN CONTEST SHAPE...)

So there you have it...
